One of our favorite places to travel in the winter is Mexico. In many cases, if you time everything right, you can typically travel to Mexico and do an all-inclusive vacation for cheaper than you can going to Florida. This particular vacation was to celebrate milestone birthdays for myself and the kids, so we wanted to make sure it was all-inclusive. After an exhaustive review of the all-inclusive fees attached to RCI vacations, through our timeshare, we honed in on the Sandos properties and selected Sandos Playacar as our first all-inclusive through our timeshare. We were not disappointed! We rented a two bedroom Hacienda which is basically a standalone house with four condominiums in it. It shares a pool and hot tub with just those four condos (which two were unoccupied during our stay) and is close to the front of the property. Below are some pictures of the hacienda.
From the beach, you have a wonderful view of the island of Cozumel in the distance. You can see cruise ships, airplanes, and ferries going back and forth at all hours of the day an night.
The pools were always warm and clean! The servers were fairly attentive, especially if you were good about tipping them. You could also see the beach and hear the ocean from most of the pools as well.
